I'm Kara Chamberlain - actress, writer, theatre maker and producer.

I love telling stories that make you laugh and feel deeply.

As an actor I have experience on stage and screen, you can pop over to Spotlight for more specifics about the projects I have been a part of, and to check out my showreel. One project I'm particularly excited about at the moment is RETAIL IS HELL, the multi-award winning web series where I play a lead character. Check it out on YouTube or head to the British Comedy Guide for more.

In my writing I am interested in finding humour is difficult places. I've co-written multiple projects for stage, as well as short film projects and articles.

From 2013 - 2022 I was the co-Artistic Director of Crossline Theatre. In that time I co-produced four shows, two of which I also co-wrote alongside Natalia Knowlton.

Our shows toured to venues across the UK and in Canada, and included a piece of digital theatre which was streamed internationally.

With Crossline Theatre I cut my teeth as a producer, and am now producing in a freelance capacity on projects for stage and screen.
